Ryan is the Category Manager for travel at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) based in London.  Ryan has overall accountability for the travel strategy sourcing & supplier relationships, operational and service delivery.  Working closely with the security and sustainability teams, his mission is to deliver a best-in-class travel programme for all employees of the company.

Prior to joining SMBC, Ryan spent more than 20 years working in some of the largest oil & gas companies, managing the strategic sourcing and operational delivery for travel on a global basis.

Some of Ryan’s proudest moments of his career is in 2016 when his team at Sparrows Offshore Services won the award for “Travel Team of the Year” at The Business Travel Awards.  A few months later, he also scooped the award for Multi-National Travel Manager of the year at the ITM.
